At Stressless®, we’re proud of our Norwegian Heritage. 17th of May, we celebrate Norway’s National Day and honour the signing of the constitution in 1814. In Norway this is a huge celebration and one that includes everyone all over the country. Families, friends and children gather to celebrate at events taking place throughout the day, uniting in parties that commemorate our patriotism.
Next it’s time to head out to the children’s parades, where marching bands play and crowds shout ‘hooray’ waving their flags. In Oslo, the main high streets around the country, Karl Johan, is filled with people often dressed in traditional Norwegian attire, such as the bunad or Festdrakt. with the Royal Family standing proudly on the balcony of the Royal Palace waving to the crowds.
