Working Student Event & Marketing — Central Europe

Stressless® / Ekornes | Hamburg | 6 months, with possibility of extension

Want to see how a premium brand comes to life across events, retail and product launches?

Join Stressless® / Ekornes as a Working Student Event & Marketing and become part of our Central Europe marketing team in Hamburg. In this role, you will support real marketing projects across events, trade fairs, dealer activations, product launches, campaign support and market analysis.

This is a hands-on role for someone organised, curious and proactive — someone who wants to learn how premium brand marketing works in practice, across different markets and touchpoints.

What you’ll do

  • Support the planning and coordination of events, including timelines, logistics, invitations, presentations, materials and follow-ups.
  • Support trade marketing activities across Central Europe, helping retailers and sales teams activate the brand in the market.
  • Help create and coordinate dealer materials, campaign overviews, POS assets, activation guidelines and sales communication.
  • Support new product launches by helping prepare launch materials, product information, presentations, handouts and internal updates.
  • Help keep launch projects on track by supporting checklists, material tracking and stakeholder follow-ups.
  • Research market trends, competitor activities and inspiration from furniture, lifestyle, retail and premium brands.
  • Turn research, campaign examples, pricing insights and sales-related information into clear summaries and presentations.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, visual merchandising, product teams, agencies and external partners.
  • Support the Central Europe marketing team in daily project coordination and hands-on marketing execution.

What you’ll learn

This role gives you a real inside look into how premium brand marketing works across Central Europe — not just from one angle, but across the full marketing cycle: from planning and coordination to execution, follow-up and analysis.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Event management and trade fair execution — understanding how brand moments are planned, prepared and delivered in real life.
  • Trade marketing and retail activation — learning how we support retailers and sales teams with the right tools, materials and campaign communication.
  • New product launch coordination — seeing how product information, storytelling, sales materials and launch assets come together before a product reaches the market.
  • Market, competitor and sales analysis — learning how insights, trends, performance data and competitor activities support better marketing decisions.
  • Project coordination in an international environment — working with different teams, markets, priorities and stakeholders across Central Europe.
  • Premium brand communication — understanding how a global brand stays consistent across events, retail, campaigns and customer touchpoints.
  • Marketing operations and execution — building confidence in timelines, asset coordination, presentations, follow-ups and cross-functional collaboration.

By the end of the role, you will have a strong practical understanding of how a premium lifestyle brand is activated across events, retail, product launches and market activities — giving you valuable experience for future roles in marketing, event management, trade marketing, brand management or product marketing.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need years of experience — but you should bring energy, structure, and a proactive mindset.

Ideally, you are:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme, for example in Marketing, Business, Communication, Event Management, Retail, or a related field.
  • Interested in premium brands, event marketing, trade marketing, product launches, and market analysis.
  • Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working on both creative and analytical tasks.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working with different teams.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
