We are from a beautiful place in Norway and are proud to produce our furniture here. Surrounded by deep fjords and majestic mountains, the landscape provides infinite inspiration to our heritage.

Our entire production line is imbued with accomplished craftsmanship that goes hand in hand with modern technology. Our products are produced by a team of designers, engineers, project managers and product developers that all work together, combining their different fields of expertise to contribute to the process.

Ensuring that every little detail of a new product has been carefully evaluated and refined. It is an iterative process and one that goes back and forth until all elements are optimised and functioning as a whole.

Meticulous care and an eye for detail

Nothing escapes the gaze of our quality controllers. From the beginning of the design process right through to final production, every screw, milling, assembly and sewing detail are scrutinised.

A microscopic notch in the wood, irregularities in the leather, a weakness in the steel frame, none of these make the cut. Our diligent design is always in the details.

We shaped the furniture world when we developed the first Stressless^®recliner, an iconic design that still retains every bit of it’s original desirability today. Setting a new standard for comfort, we continue to produce furniture that utilises scientific research around the human body.

Dedication to longevity

When we create a piece of furniture we’re looking at the entire process; Timeless design, what materials we use, manufacturing and supply chain, as well as packaging and delivery. Then after production, the longevity of the product, can it be repaired or reused and eventually how it can be recycled or biodegrades at the end of of its life cycle. Our goal is to create heritage pieces with an heirloom quality that can be enjoyed and passed down for years to come.
