A Contemporary approach to Classic

A style that holds both reverence for the historic with a modern point of view. The bones of a heritage building speak a classic language, which when combined with modern accents offer a pleasing mix of old and new.

High ceilings, offset with ornate mouldings provide an opulent space which is then grounded by elegant, tall skirting boards and a timeless herringbone wood floor. These striking features elevate every aspect of the space and at Stressless we believe firmly in elevating the everyday.

The space where you escape has become sacrosanct. We can help you create your sanctuary. With bespoke furniture that allows you to both decompress and make memories. Our recliners are tailored to fit both your body and your taste in interior design.

Whether you like to curl up and read by a fire, kindling in an original antique fireplace. Or stretch out and be bathed in light from a grand window, a gentle breeze gently passing through the voiles. To offer comfort that is synonymous with serenity we’ve crafted and built some truly pioneering technologies. From the supple cushioning to the well-known profile of the base, back and armrests, this attention to design and desire for comfort is at the heart of every Stressless recliner.

This modern take on a traditional style calls for an appreciation of textures to add depth and personality. Whether you prefer leather or a fabric finish, all Stressless furniture is available in an array or shades and textures. Allowing you to match or contrast your interiors as your please, confident that whichever finish you choose will always be of the highest quality as well as being ethically sourced.

Details such as a statement light fitting, offer a playful spin on proportions. While the addition of indoor plants and use of natural materials provide a well-balanced meeting point between the classic and contemporary.

We use beech veneer or solid beech wood on Stressless recliners and sofas. The hardness of the wood makes beech furniture extremely durable, and the timber we use is a renewable resource. Beech is a natural material and variations in its pattern, colour and texture make each piece of furniture unique. It particularly compliments this type of interior, offering both beauty and functional form.
