Ekornes has chosen orange as its signal signal colour for 2013 and will use Paloma Clementine Leather in its marketing for Stressless the coming year. At the same time, the company launches a brand new communication concept and commercials, which show a new side of the well-known brand.
The choice of Clementine as signal colour for 2013 is based on a wide specter of colour prognosis for the coming season, where orange is dominating in a palette inspired by colours we find in nature. In addition to being a colour which will dominate fashion, the signal colour needs to stand out and works as a distinctive 'eye-catcher' in the company’s marketing.
New communication concept
The use of a signal colour in 2013 will be even more striking in the Ekornes communication concept. The main idea behind the concept is illustrating the contrast of placing a comfortable Stressless chair or sofa in a stressful environment. This symbolises that the few moments we have to ourselves should be of high quality and provide real comfort. The contrast is made even clearer by showing the environment in black and white, while the furniture is shown in colour.
